Between 1985 and 1990, participated in the preparation and submission of several briefs in the context of international maritime disputes handled by the Chambre Arbitrale Maritime de Paris (CAMP). Further, in 1999 while in practicing lawyer in Paris, was involved, as a counsel for the Senegal Maritime Navigation Company (COSENAM), in an arbitration procedure in London. The dispute was settled before the hearings took place. Further, have delivered a presentation on “Defence and Illustration of Lex Mercatoria in International Maritime Arbitration: the case study of ‘extra-contractual detention’ in voyage charterpaty disputes” at the 12th International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA) held in Paris in 1998.
