Lars has been involved in more than 45 international arbitrations as counsel, arbitrator or tribunal secretary under the arbitration rules of institutions such as the ICC, DIS, KCAB, JCAA, SIAC, Swiss Chambers, NAI, ICDR, and ICSID, as well as under UNCITRAL Rules. Lars has acted as presiding arbitrator in two cases and as sole arbitrator in three cases.
Lars has published more than 75 articles and book chapters on international investment and commercial arbitration in English, German, and Japanese.
