Acting as counsel and arbitrator in over 60 arbitration proceedings under a variety of arbitration rules, including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, Swiss Rules, DIAC, and ad hoc (e.g., UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules). The proceedings involved private companies, individuals, States and State-owned entities in cases relating, inter alia, to construction and infrastructure projects, international investments, international sale of goods, agency, distribution agreements, and joint venture agreements. The laws applicable to the merits of the disputes included the laws of Switzerland, France, Germany, New York,
Texas, Turkey, Lebanon, as well as general principles of contract law, such as the UNIDROIT Principles.
Past member of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution, which administers arbitrations subject to the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration.
