What is the Arbitration Law Database?

JURIS Arbitration Law provides immediate database access to 11 leading arbitration journals and more than 200 proprietary treatises, practice manuals, and monographs. JURIS Arbitration Law contains exclusive proprietary commentary, analysis, awards, and court decisions. Arbitration Law provides a powerful search engine that enables users to search for and access thousands of PDF documents in their original publication form, allowing for hassle-free citation and reference.

The JURIS Arbitration Law platform covers virtually all forms of international and domestic (United States) arbitration. It is a comprehensive database of commentary and analysis on over 100 leading institutional rules and national laws, including model submissions, precedents, and research materials on both procedural and substantive issues. Arbitration Law's proprietary materials provide comprehensive coverage of all practice aspects of the arbitral process, as well as trial advocacy and presentation. JURIS Arbitration Law is a comprehensive and indispensable research and learning tool.

What kind of content does Arbitration Law offer?

Arbitration Law's content includes JURIS book titles, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Journals, as well as public domain library resources.

Is a subscription required to view online content?

A subscription is not required to view our extensive database of public domain arbitral awards, court decisions, legislation, commentary, and analysis, which you can access via a Free Arbitration Law Account. A subscription unlocks access to all JURIS Arbitration Law Premium Content and several premium features, such as IP Access log-in capability (allowing members of organizations or firms direct access to the database via IP Access, no log-in credentials needed). JURIS Premium Content includes all proprietary content available on Arbitration Law, including over 200 treatises, practice manuals, and monographs, as well as leading arbitration journals and books. JURIS Premium Content, such as journal/book chapters and articles, can be accessed without a subscription via individual purchase (à la carte). The cost of individually purchased Premium Content materials is $40.00 per item (chapter, article, etc.). View Arbitration Law's subscription options here.

Is online access available to institutions?

Yes! We offer online access to institutions via IP, allowing members of law firms, government agencies, law schools, and other institutions to access the database hassle-free. IP Access removes the need for institution members to log in individually using log-in credentials. For more information regarding IP Access, see the "IP Access" section below. Individuals can access Arbitration Law via the database's sign-in portal (using personal log-in credentials).

IP Access

How does the IP Access process work?

If you are a first-time law firm or institution (government, law school, or other) subscriber to an Arbitration Law subscription, please include your institution or firm's IP address range in the comments section of your subscription check-out. Alternatively, after you place your order, enter your institution or firm's IP address when prompted in the confirmation e-mail you will receive. If you add further subscriptions to your Arbitration Law Account, the IP addresses you have previously provided will be applied to each new subscription. "IP Access" allows multiple members of a single organization (law firm, institution, government agency, etc.) to access Arbitration Law automatically via VPN. IP Access, granted with the Institution Full Subscription and Law Firm Full Subscription options, as well as the Institution and Law Firm Journal Subscriptions or Journal Bundle Subscriptions, allows multiple members of an organization or firm to access the database via a single subscription.

If you are an individual subscriber (you are subscribed to Arbitration Law with the Individual Full Subscription or Individual Journal/Journal Bundle Subscription), there is no need for you to provide JURIS with your IP address or range.

What is an IP address?

IP stands for Internet Protocol. Every computer on your institution or firm's network has a unique IP address. IP addresses are composed of a series of four numbers (bytes) separated by a full stop (period). IP address numbers separated by periods can range from 0 to 255.

What is a proxy server?

Some institutions or firms gain access to the Internet via an external server. These servers are known as "proxy servers." If your institution or firm relies on a proxy server, you will need to bypass it in order to access our online materials. The same applies if your institution or firm uses a firewall. There are some exceptions. If a proxy server or firewall has been set up to service your institution or one/some of its departments, you may be able to access Arbitration Law online materials without bypassing it. Your institution or firm's IT department is aware of whether your institution relies on a proxy server or firewall; it can offer assistance to bypass such firewalls/proxy servers.

Are there limits to the total number of IP addresses or ranges registered with Arbitration Law?

Arbitration Law customers may have multiple locations across large geographic distances. For this reason, we do not place limits on the total number of IP addresses or ranges registered with Arbitration Law. To avoid distribution to external users or locations, Arbitration Law requires that institutions and firms provide correct IP addresses or ranges for its member locations only.

How is IP address maintenance handled?

If you experience technical issues (e.g., some or all of your locations are unable to access Arbitration Law using existing IP address ranges), please contact us at info@arbitrationlaw.com and JURIS Customer Service will assist you. Likewise, if you would like to add a new IP address or range (or change an existing IP address or range), please email info@arbitrationlaw.com and JURIS Customer Service will assist you.

What sort of access does an Individual Full Subscription give me?

The Individual Full Subscription entitles an authorized user to enjoy 24-hour online access to all JURIS Arbitration Law Premium Content (in addition to all public domain materials available on Arbitration Law, which includes arbitral awards, court decisions, legislation, commentary, and analysis). The Individual Full Subscription also grants a subscriber access to all Arbitration Law Journals. With the Individual Full Subscription, access is limited to a single user, site, or location.

Can multiple users use the same log-in credentials for an Individual Full Subscription?

No. Only one user can be logged in using the log-in credentials linked to an Individual Full Subscription. If you would like multiple members of your organization or law firm to be able to access the benefits of a JURIS Arbitration Law Full Subscription simultaneously, please consider subscription options that provide multi-user access.

When I enter my log-in credentials, I receive a message saying that they are invalid. Why?

Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. Please ensure that they are being entered correctly. If you would like to reset your password, click here.

I am an individual subscriber and I forgot my log-in credentials. Help!

If you forgot your password, simply use our password reset function. Once you enter your username (the e-mail address you used to register with Arbitration Law), you will receive a message containing instructions. If you forgot your username or registered e-mail address (or it has changed since you first registered), please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@jurisarbitrationlaw.com.

What if I no longer use the e-mail address I provided when I created my Arbitration Law Account?

The e-mail address used to register an account is a user's primary identifier in Arbitration Law's records. It is important for communication detailing all Arbitration Law transactions, promotions, and correspondence. If your e-mail address has changed, please contact info@arbitrationlaw.com to update the address on record.

Law School, Government, or other Institution Full Subscription

What is the best Arbitration Law subscription option for a law school, government agency, or other institution?

The Law School, Government or other Institution Full Subscription grants multiple members of a subscribed group access to a single subscription via the use of IP range. Once an IP is set up for a subscribed group or institution, members are able to bypass the log-in step and simply access the database without inputting credentials.

What sort of access does a Law School, Government, or other Institution Full Subscription grant me?

The Law School, Government, or other Institution Full Subscription entitles authorized users in your organization to enjoy 24-hour access to all JURIS Arbitration Law Premium Content (in addition to all public domain materials available on Arbitration Law, which includes arbitral awards, court decisions, legislation, commentary, and analysis). The Law School, Government, or other Institution Full Subscription also grants subscribers access to all Arbitration Law Journals. With the Law School, Government, or other Institution Full Subscription, access is limited to a single site or location. Site-wide access is arranged via an institution's secure network.

Can members of a subscribing law school, government, or other institution access the site remotely?

A group’s subscription can only be accessed when a user is connected to the subscribing organization's Virtual Private Network (VPN), which is located within a restricted IP range. Individuals working remotely (from outside the reach of an organization's IP range and without access to its VPN) may need to subscribe individually via Arbitration Law's Individual Full Subscription.

I am an administrator at my institution. I need to change the IP address details for my institution that are registered with JURIS Arbitration Law. What should I do?

Please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com.

My institution has a Law School, Government, or other Institution Full Subscription. I can access the website but am not able to see the full text of certain materials. I am being prompted to enter log-in credentials/I see "subscribe to download" and "add to cart" for products I should automatically have access to. Why is this happening?

If you are using IP Access, it is likely that the IP address for your computer is not recognizable to our system.

This failure could be due to the following conditions:

  • Your subscription has not yet been activated.
  • When your organization's Law School, Government, or other Institution Full Subscription was activated, not all of your institution's IP addresses were registered (and the one you are currently using was omitted).
  • Certain subnets of your institution are routed through a proxy server and Arbitration Law was not made aware of this routing.

If you are experiencing issues accessing Arbitration Law via IP Access, please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com. We will need to verify your account and IP address information and confirm that IP Access has been set up correctly by our staff and yours.

Law Firm Full Subscription

What is the best Arbitration Law subscription option for a law firm?

The Law Firm Full Subscription grants multiple members of a subscribed group access to a single subscription via the use of IP range. Once an IP is set up for a subscribed law firm, members of the firm are able to bypass the log-in step and simply access the database without inputting credentials.

Are there different subscription options for law firms that have a single location or multiple offices across different geographic areas?

Yes, there are two options: 1) Law Firm Full Subscription: Single Location, and 2) Law Firm Full Subscription: Unlimited Locations.

How does JURIS Arbitration Law define a single office location?

In most cases, Arbitration Law defines "single location" as a single location within one geographic area (e.g., one office or offices within one city). If all of your firm's offices/locations are within one geographic area (city), you are eligible for, and can benefit from, our Law Firm Full Subscription: Single Location. If your firm has multiple offices in several geographic areas (cities), Arbitration Law's Law Firm Full Subscription: Unlimited Locations is the most suitable option for you.

What happens if I have technical issues with IP Access?

If you are experiencing issues accessing Arbitration Law via IP Access or have any other technical queries, please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com.

I am an administrator at my law firm. I need to change the IP address details for my law firm that is registered with JURIS Arbitration Law. What should I do?

Please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com.

My law firm is subscribed to a Law Firm Full Subscription (Single Location/Unlimited Locations). I can access the website but am not able to see the full text of certain materials. I am being prompted to enter log-in credentials/ I see "subscribe to download" and "add to cart" for products I should automatically have access to. Why is this happening?

Payments and Renewals

Digital Product Sales

ALL ELECTRONIC PRODUCT SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ELECTRONIC PRODUCT SALES.

Individual Chapters and Journal Articles are ONLY available for purchase in PDF format.

Purchase of Electronic Products MUST be made via the Arbitration Law website. After check-out, buyers receive an e-mail including directions and the necessary download link(s) for purchased product(s). All sales of Electronic Products are final. NO refunds will be issued.

Which payment methods does JURIS accept?

JURIS accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Credit card payment is the easiest way to make your purchase online. You can make a credit card purchase directly from the Arbitration Law shopping cart check-out. Alternate payment methods, such as check, money order, or wire transfer, may be arranged through contact with JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com. Please keep in mind that usage of alternative (non-credit card) payment methods may result in delayed payment. Delayed payment may cause suspension of your Arbitration Law subscription by JURIS.

How do I renew my subscription?

Thirty (30) days before your subscription expires, you will be notified of its pending expiration via e-mail. There is no automatic renewal option. In order to renew your subscription, you must place an order for a new subscription from the Arbitration Law website (click here for the Full Subscription Page). Upon timely completion of your new order, your subscription will be renewed and you will receive e-mail confirmation of the renewal. Twelve months (1 year) of access will be added to any time remaining in the period of your original subscription (e.g., if your previous subscription was scheduled to remain valid for 2 more months, you now have 14 months of access remaining).

If I do not renew my subscription, do I retain any access to online content?

If a subscriber does not renew their subscription, they will lose access to JURIS Arbitration Law Premium Content. However, they will retain access to their account and IP Access will remain activated.

I recently received a renewal notice asking for payment. My records show that my account is current. Why have I received this notice?

If you are not paying with a credit card, it may be that your payment was processed after the automatic renewal notice was sent. If you paid using a credit card and still received a renewal notice, please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com. In your e-mail, please include the e-mail address associated with your account, the date and method of subscription payment, and the full amount paid.

I am not certain that I paid to renew my subscription. Can you check to see if you received my payment?

Please note that alternative (non-credit card) payment methods can take up to 10 days to process. Online credit card payment is the fastest, most effective payment method. If you made a payment with an alternative (non-credit card) payment method more than 10 days ago and it has not processed, please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com. In your e-mail, please include the e-mail address associated with your account, the date and method of subscription payment, and the full amount paid.

Is there a 'grace period' for electronic access or do Arbitration Law subscribers get 'locked out' at the end of their current Subscription Periods?

JURIS understands that renewal negotiations can be complex and lengthy, but JURIS Arbitration Law subscriptions do not typically include a payment-pending “grace period” for online access. Online credit card payment is the fastest, most effective payment method. If you wish to use an alternative (non-credit card) payment method, we encourage you to initiate your payment process well in advance of the end of your Subscription Period.

Individual Journal Subscription

How does an individual subscriber gain access to the database and his/her Individual Journal Subscription?

Individual subscribers gain access using log-in credentials consisting of a username (e-mail address) and password (selected by the user).

What sort of access does an Individual Journal Subscription give me?

The Individual Journal Subscription entitles an authorized user to enjoy 24-hour online access to all JURIS Arbitration Law Journals that he/she currently subscribes to. In addition, the subscriber has access to all public domain materials available on Arbitration Law, which includes arbitral awards, court decisions, legislation, commentary, and analysis. With the Individual Journal Subscription, access is limited to a single user, site, or location.

Can multiple users use the same log-in credentials for an Individual Journal Subscription?

No. Only one user can be logged in using the log-in credentials linked to an Individual Journal Subscription. If you would like multiple members of your organization or law firm to be able to access the benefits of a JURIS Arbitration Law Journal Subscription simultaneously, please consider subscription options that provide multi-user access.

Law School, Government, or other Institution Journal Subscription

How does a Law School, Government, or other Institution gain journal subscription access?

Using the Law School, Government, or other Institution Journal Subscription, multiple members of a subscribed group are granted access to a single subscription via the use of IP range. Once an IP is set up for a subscribed group or institution, members are able to bypass the log-in step and simply access the database without inputting credentials.

What sort of access does a Law School, Government, or other Institution Journal Subscription give me?

The Law School, Government, or other Institution Journal Subscription entitles authorized users in your organization to enjoy 24-hour access to all JURIS Arbitration Law Journals that your institution currently subscribes to. With the Law School, Government, or other Institution Journal Subscription, access is limited to a single site or location. Site-wide access is arranged via an institution's secure network.

Can subscribers to a Law School, Government, or other Institution Journal Subscription access the site remotely?

A group’s subscription can only be accessed when a user is connected to the subscribing law firm's Virtual Private Network (VPN), which is located within a restricted IP range. Individuals working remotely (from outside the reach of an institution's IP range and without access to its VPN) may need to subscribe individually via Arbitration Law's Individual Journal Subscription.

Who is entitled to access the Arbitration Law Journals online from my institution?

All members of the subscribing institution are entitled to online access.

As an IP Access subscriber, do I need to log in with log-in credentials to access the online journals?

No, individual users at institutions using IP Access do not need to log in using log-in credentials. Access is automatically granted to members within the restricted and authorized IP range.

I am an administrator at my institution. I need to change the IP address details for my institution that are registered with JURIS Arbitration Law. What should I do?

Please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com.

My institution has a Law School, Government, or other Institution Journal Subscription to Arbitration Law. I can access the website but am not able to see the full text of certain materials. I am being prompted to enter log-in credentials/ I see "subscribe to download" and "add to cart" for products I should automatically have access to. Why is this happening?

If you are using IP Access, it is likely that the IP address for your computer is not recognizable to our system.

This failure could be due to the following conditions:

  • Your subscription has not yet been activated.
  • When your institution's Law School, Government, or other Institution Journal Subscription was activated, not all of your institution's IP addresses were registered (and the one you are currently using was omitted).
  • Certain subnets of your institution are routed through a proxy server and Arbitration Law was not made aware of this routing.

If you are experiencing issues accessing Arbitration Law via IP Access, or have any other technical queries, please contact JURIS Customer Service at info@arbitrationlaw.com. We will need to verify your account and IP Address information and confirm that IP Access has been set up correctly by our staff and yours.

Law Firm Journal Subscriptions

What is the best Arbitration Law Journal Subscription option for a law firm?

Using Arbitration Law's Law Firm Journal Subscriptions, it is possible to provide multiple members of a subscribed group access to a Journal Subscription via the use of IP range. Once an IP is set up for a subscribed law firm, members of the firm are able to bypass the log-in step and simply access the database and Journal Subscription without inputting credentials.

Are there different subscription options for law firms that have a single location or multiple offices across different geographic areas?

Yes, there are two options: 1) Law Firm Journal Subscription: Single Location, and 2) Law Firm Journal Subscription: Unlimited Locations.

What if I no longer use the e-mail address I provided when I created my Arbitration Law Account?

It is important for communication detailing all Arbitration Law transactions, promotions, and correspondence. If your e-mail address has changed, please contact info@arbitrationlaw.com to update the address on record.

I am an administrator at my law firm. I need to change the IP address details for my law firm that is registered with JURIS Arbitration Law. What should I do?

Subscription Process

I want to subscribe to an All Journal Online Access Bundle Subscription, how does the journal subscription process work?

If you would like to obtain an All Journal Online Access Bundle Subscription (also referred to as "The Bundle"), you must visit the All Journal Online Access Bundle Subscription page, select the subscription option that is appropriate for you (e.g., Law Firm Journal Bundle Subscription: Single Location), and add it to your shopping cart. Once the journal is added to your shopping cart, you may continue shopping or check out to complete your order.

At check-out, you will be prompted to enter an e-mail address. If you already have an Arbitration Law Account, your e-mail address will automatically populate your check-out page. Please ensure that this e-mail address is current. After registering or logging in, you will be prompted to enter billing and payment information and, finally, review and submit your order. At check-out, there will be an option to add additional comments. If you plan to subscribe via IP Access, you can expedite the IP Access activation process by including your IP Address range in this comment section. If you do not include your IP Address range in your order comments, you will receive an e-mail from JURIS Customer Service requesting your IP Address range within 48-72 hours. Once your order is complete, you will receive a corresponding order number and details regarding your order delivery.

I placed an order, what can I expect next?

After placing orders, users receive order confirmation e-mails (an order summary and, subsequently, a one-time download link for the purchased file(s)) from info@arbitrationlaw.com. If you are seeking multi-user access via IP Access, please look out for an Arbitration Law e-mail requesting your IP Address information. Please allow 48-72 hours for this e-mail to arrive.

I haven't received any emails with my download link. Help!

The e-mail containing your download link may have been filtered to your spam folder. To ensure delivery, before submitting your order, please white-list info@arbitrationlaw.com. (You will be prompted to do so by Arbitration Law.) If you cannot locate the e-mail containing the download link for your purchase, log into your Free Arbitration Law Account and view the Orders listed on your "My Account" page. If you forgot your password, click here to reset it.

ALL DIGITAL PRODUCT SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR DIGITAL PRODUCT SALES.

Individual Chapters and Journal Articles are ONLY available for purchase in PDF format.

Purchase of Digital Products MUST be made via the Arbitration Law website. After check-out, buyers receive an e-mail including directions and the necessary download link(s) for purchased product(s). All sales of Digital Products are final.

Subscription Agent FAQ

Pricing

A complete price list for our Arbitration Law Online Journals can be downloaded from our website at the following location: https://arbitrationlaw.com/journal-subscription-pricing.

Discount to Agents

Agents can deduct 5% from all institutional and law firm pricing quoted online for credit card payments.  This discount is not applicable if payment is made by alternative payment methods (check, money order, or bank wire transfer).

Payment Terms

All orders must be pre-paid in U.S. dollars drawn from a U.S. bank. Where applicable, New York State residents must pay New York State sales tax.

Subscriptions will not commence until full payment is received. JURIS does not issue invoices for unpaid Journal Subscriptions. Proforma invoices can be issued if formal price quotation documents are required.

In the event that a subscription order is underpaid, you will be invoiced for the outstanding difference and the subscription will be placed on suspension until the balance is received.

Payment Methods

The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Credit card (American Express, Visa, and MasterCard).
  • Check drawn from a U.S. bank in U.S. dollars.
  • Bank wire transfer.

Email info@arbitrationlaw.com for JURIS Banking details for wire transfer.

Please quote “proforma” invoice number and product name as the reference when making payment via wire transfer. Please send remittance information to subscriptions@arbitrationlaw.com.

In order to cover processing fees charged by JURIS's bank, a $50.00 fee is added to the total for all purchases paid for by wire transfer. Payments via wire transfer may not be made for orders under $200.00 USD

In the interest of reducing delays for our customers, our preferred payment method is credit card. Checks and other alternative payment methods are subject to lengthier physical delivery and bank clearance processes.

Online Access Subscription

Subscription Agents can register a client for online access to ArbitrationLaw.com, but the e-mail address associated with the account must belong to the end-user, not the subscription agency. Log-in credentials and site-generated receipts will be e-mailed to the end-user e-mail associated with the account. Upon request, order receipts can be provided to the subscription agent.

JURIS sends renewal notification notices thirty (30) days prior to expiration of online subscriptions via e-mail to the e-mail address associated with each account. If you are currently receiving your renewal notice by regular mail, please provide us with your current e-mail address, as e-mail delivery will significantly speed up the transfer of information.

If payment for renewal is not received by JURIS before the expiration of a Subscription Period, the Journal Subscription will lapse.

Print Subscription

After the initial Subscription Period, invoices for renewal will be posted to your account and sent to you via regular mail.  You will be automatically invoiced for renewals unless we are notified of cancellation.

If payment for renewal is not received by JURIS before the invoice due date, the Journal Subscription will be subject to suspension.

Reports

Upon request, JURIS can provide reports for subscription agents. These reports include:

  • List of agent's current subscriptions.
  • List of outstanding (unpaid) proforma invoices.
  • List of outstanding subscription underpayment invoices.
  • Usage statistics reports for online access.

Tax

USA - JURIS has sales tax registrations for New York State. Relevant New York State sales taxes will be appropriately charged. Please provide a copy of any reseller or sales tax exemption certificate you hold.
