MS. MAGNUSSON: Thank you very much for the introduction, and for the invitation to deliver this keynote. Thank you also to the organizers for the freedom in choosing the topic.
I decided to call this talk A Climate Change Checklist for Investor-state Arbitration. 

That was easy. But which perspective should I use? Party, arbitrator, counsel, or that of my former role—the arbitral institution? And should I focus on procedure or substance?

I decided to take stock. To look in the rear-view mirror; what have we learnt so far. This is what I will start with. From this I will venture into the future, offering a few thoughts on the potential for investor-state arbitration for climate change mitigation purposes.
