The Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration (RAC) - World Arbitration Reporter - Second Edition

The Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration (RAC) is one of the youngest arbitral institutions in Russia. RAC is created in the framework of a major reform of arbitration as a modern venue for dispute resolution, aiming to be on a par with global arbitration centers worldwide.

The Arbitration Center was created in 2016 as a subdivision within the Institute of Modern Arbitration (IMA). Among the founders of the IMA are: the Russian Federal Chamber of Lawyers; the Foundation for Legal Education and Research (an organization that implements and supports projects aimed at studying and developing all areas of international law and international law scholarship); Legal Academy (an education project created under the auspices of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum); the International and Comparative Law Research Center and the Center for Arbitration and Legal Expertise (joined later in 2017). In 2018, the IMA was vested with the right to include the word “Russian” in its name, and the arbitral institution renamed itself as the Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration
