On 6 March 2007, the Secretary-General of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) registered a request for arbitration under the Additional Facility Rules submitted by Europe Cement Investment and Trade S.A., a company incorporated under the laws of Poland (the Claimant or Europe Cement), against the Republic of Turkey (the Respondent or the Republic).
