The Young Arbitration Practitioners is an informal group, distinct from any institution, which aims to gather all of the associations of young practitioners (and theoreticians) dedicated to international arbitration.

This group is dynamic and has already organized two colloquia, the most recent on the question of uniformity in international arbitration took place in Geneva at the beginning of 2004. The colloquium attracted many participants, from many different specialties and countries.

The works of the Young Arbitration Practitioners allow professionals interested in arbitration to meet, share their experiences and think about new problems related to international arbitration, with the help of well-known moderators.

In a sense, the existence and the activities of this group reflect the evolution of international arbitration itself.

About twenty years ago, the world of arbitration was dominated by key figures, judges, professors or lawyers who, at the height of their careers, practiced as arbitrators or as counsels in the field of international arbitration.
