A. History and Current Legislation on Arbitration

1. Sources of law

Arbitral law in Senegal is comprised of both domestic and international sources. The domestic sources of arbitral law in Senegal consist of the following texts:

• The OHADA  Uniform Act on Arbitration Law dated 11th March 1999.

• The Decree no. 98-492 which repeals the Book 1V of the second section of the New Code of Civil Procedure to replace the items numbered 795 to 820.

• The Law no. 98-30 dated 14th April 1998 which includes a seventh Book to the second section on the Code of Civil and Trade Obligations.
