Michael Z. Green, Professor of Law, Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. I would like to
thank Professor Thomas Carbonneau and Ms. Jeanette Jaeggi, Executive Director,
Institute for Arbitration Law and Practice, for inviting me to participate in this
Symposium. It was also a pleasure to work with Professors Robert Ackerman and
Nancy Welsh in such a wonderful discussion with the many fine panelists who
participated in the program. Also, I appreciated the efforts of Sandra K. Partridge
and Gregory Alvarez in their overall coordination of the logistics that made it so
easy for me to participate. I thank the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law
Research Grant program for its financial support, and the research efforts of Texas
Wesleyan law students Adam Burney, Shelley Jeri, Eunice Kim and Sandra Cortes
who all contributed greatly to my thoughts and comments made about Race and
Neutrality at this Symposium and in responding to the interview questions posed to
me. As always, I remain eternally grateful to Margaret Green for her constant
encouragement.
