Suppose we were able to project ourselves into the future and could look back to the present time.  We might find that international arbitration is at the age of adolescence.  And George Bermann is a wise parent. 

We are facing many challenges, after having grown quickly.  But we are not finished with progressing.  We have experienced many changes, some positive, some setting us back.  Many rightfully celebrate how far we have come, in a short period of time.  Others are still experiencing a feeling of disorder and discontent.  We have yet to seize the multifaceted nature of it all, the juxtaposed and mutually influencing facets of our development.

We owe George A. Bermann for the guidance and leadership he provides to our community with remarkable grace and clarity.
