I am Audley Sheppard, one of the co-organizers, along with Dietmar Prager, of this workshop. This is the time for the mock session, and it is a shorter mock than in previous years. The theme of the mock session that we are having today is the Tribunal’s power to regulate counsel conduct. This is especially timely. It is a topical issue generally, which is receiving a lot more attention from practitioners such as Doak Bishop of King & Spalding, among others, but it is especially timely because, only last week, the International Bar Association published the IBA Guidelines on Party Representation in International Arbitration, which is the culmination of a project that started when I was cochair of the IBA Arbitration Committee six or seven years ago. It was published in May. You will find it in your conference pack at the back of your folder. I am sure you will find it interesting and, quite possibly, controversial. But can I just ask that you do not focus on reading that over the next hour. Please listen to the dialogue from our mock participants.
