1. Pursuant to Article 290, paragraph 5, of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (hereafter 'UNCLOS' or the 'Convention'), the Kingdom of the Netherlands hereby requests that the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (hereafter the 'Tribunal') prescribe the provisional measures specified below in the dispute between the Kingdom of the Netherlands adn teh Russian Federation concerning the 'Arctic Sunrise', a vessel that flies the flag of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
