Since its enactment in 1974, New York's Comprehensive Automobile Insurance Reparations Act, otherwise known as the No-Fault Law, has provided compensation to victims of automobile accidents, regardless of fault.

This article provides an overview of the New York No-Fault Law, including how it has evolved and what the AAA's role is in the system. Case studies illustrate the most frequent problems that arise and how arbitrators decide the ensuing disputes.
