I. INTRODUCTION
The current rise in transnational commercial transactions has had an
impact upon the harmonization of legal frameworks for international judicial
assistance cooperation.1 Most countries are developing bilateral relations, as
well as participating in regional and multilateral integration.2 National
courts and mediation and arbitration centers receive a substantial number of
international cases that require international judicial assistance and
cooperation.
