(EDITOR'S NOTE: Justice of the United States Supreme Court Arthur
]. Goldberg was guest of honor at the American Arbitration Association's
annual meeting on March 17, 1966, at which he was given a
Gold Medal "in recognition of his distinguished contribution to the
advancement of industrial peace, manifested in part by his promotion
of effective mediation and arbitration; to the advancement of human
rights throughout a long career in the service of the labor movement
and more recently to all the peoples of our nation as Secretary of
Labor; and for his lifelong interest in justice both public and private."
