Efforts to conserve the environment have grown over the years, resulting in the “green movement.” Is it sustainable? How will it change the construction industry in the long term? This article examines the concept of green in the context of the construction industry, and its implications for dispute resolution.

How quickly the concept of “green building” has entered every aspect of the building and construction industry. We accept that there are “green” buildings constructed by “green” contractors, assisted by “green” consultants using “green contracts and specifications, consisting of “green products and materials that are marketed by “green” brokers to “green” companies. All this in the context of our “green economy, where “green” manufacturing uses “green” energy in producing “green” ”products that provide “green” jobs that support the “green” lifestyle of the workers. That should be enough to establish a trend.
