Consumer arbitration can be an attractive and viable procedure for settling disputes arising between sellers and final buyers. As with other alternative dispute resolution methods, however, there are potential problems. This study looks at arbitration from the perspective of corporate consumer affairs officers. Important factors affecting corporate acceptance of consumer arbitration are highlighted and discussed.
